Career Legacy - Chapter 21
We left off with the twins heading off to their first day of school. Which worked out well for Myles who ,despite meeting all of his other goals for the Writers Career, continues to peck away at the computer trying to reach Level 10 of the Writing Career... if only he had picked a more profitable genre.
Tenielle has also aged up...
...not that Tenielle ever felt like the typical step child but she was tired of constantly dealing with the twins. She decided to strike out on her own so she got a job as a cook, packed her bags and bid her farewells to the family.... not like she was going far Barnacle Bay was a pretty tight knit little town.
..as usual when one sim 'pops' it seems they all do ... Holland goes casual as a teen...
While Myles Jr. opts for a more professional look.
Myles is quite the social butterfly. He's both part of the cool crowd and doing well in school. He got his license early and carpools with his brother and friends to school... the bus is so uncool after all.
Myles often heads into town right after school. He loves the ladies ... and seems to have the gift of gab when it comes to impressing them.
Even though he's certainly no 'bookworm' ..(uncool at 17!) He does love to read. Especially adventure and detective mysteries.
He's always been keen to notice the small things. Like the Gnome boat depicted in the Battle For Barnacle Bay memorial statue. He thought it odd... could there be a Pirate Gnome? He'd have to do some research since he's heard stories from his grandfather and father about mysterious little dudes that look like ordinary garden statues only to suddenly disappear and then turn up again in odd places.
Myle's took on a part time job working at the local cemetery. He thought it kind of creepy but also cool. He liked exploring the vast network of tunnels under the mausoleum.
...of course he did occasionally encounter some not so fun creepers down there... but that just made for cool tales to tell the girls.
Myles heard about another old tomb in town and one day after school set out to find it...
No flashing signs but it wasn't too hard to find... it was certainly better lit than any of the tunnels at the cemetery he worked at so...this was going t be a breeze.
..hmmmm not a single zombie or bear .. or zombie bear .... noooo pirate ghosts... no pirate gnomes... this place was lame.
After rounding one corner and finding others just hanging out Myles figured this was just some tourist site. Old graves... historical remains of Barnacle Bay founders perhaps. Certainly not much to brag about.
Myles Jr. kept in touch with step-sis Tenielle. He really admired how she just set out on her own, no family money, her own rules. Plus it was a place he could do homework or have a snack before heading home later in the evening.
Tenielle wasn't the best home decorator, but again Myles Jr. liked that she did what she wanted and didn't care what others thought.
When Myles Jr. was at home he continued to indulge his adventurous side .... Virtually!
Well well well.... Myles (Sr.) has finally reached the top of the Writing Career.... Phweeeewww!
